In addition to developing EU policies in the transport sector and handling State aid dossiers, DG MOVE manages the funding programmes for trans-European networks and technological development and innovation, worth € 850 million per annum for the period 2000-2006. ==Mission== DG MOVE is responsible for developing and implementing European policies in the transport field. Its mission is to ensure that transport policies are designed for the benefit of all sectors of the society.
